The Club was formed circa 1896 and has been playing football on the Mornington Peninsula almost continuously since then with the club only going into recess during the war years and is committed to promoting the game of Australian Rules Football and Netball in our community and are known as the Dromana Tigers.
Netball was introduced into the club in 2009 and has proven a great addition. Over the years since our inception we have had varying success but the last few years have proved quite successful for the club both on and off the field with our Senior teams participating in football and netball finals.
The club is in the First Division of the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League as well as been affiliated with the AFL South East and we field Seniors, Reserves and U19 football sides as well as A, B, C, D & U17 Grade Netball teams.
Our vision is to strive to be the Destination Club, where the very best people aspire to join our pursuit of excellence, unity and success. Key to this vision will be our values and our agreed behaviours. We are and will be defined by our people and their actions as well as our ability to maintain financial independence. Front of mind will always be ‘play to win’, whilst adhering to and living our stated values and culture.
To do this we will need to provide the people, resources and infrastructure to grow the club. Our community is fundamental to our success and we will endeavour to be a valuable and contributing member, for not only Dromana but the Peninsula region as a whole. To our members, sponsors and supporters we will be unrelenting in delivering a sporting and social environment that delivers value and entertainment whilst always remaining a family club.
